Fox Hoodie

I saw this on Pinterest and since I freaking love foxes I decided to recreate it.

1. I free-handed a fox template pattern for the hoodie. I got the hoodie from Target (my son wears 12 M)
2. I bought some reddish orange corduroy fabric, white felt, black felt, and buttons.
3. I cut out the coordinating pieces of corduroy and felt from the template.
4. I sewed around the edges of each piece.
5. Then I used fray-check around the edges so the fabric won't fray.
6. Then I sewed some little black buttons on for eyes.
7. And Voila! Super cute and stylin hoodie for my little fox ;-)

Retro Bread Box

I got THIS bread box from Target. Then I used the Rennie Mackintosh font (The free version is called Hill House) and cut it out of vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo and voila! Retro looking bread box :-)

Family Birthday Chart

Before Christmas, some friends and I made some of these family birthday charts for our mom's. We got the idea from Pinterest of course :-) Sadly, I forgot to take pictures of the one's I made before I gave them to my mom and mother in law. But luckily my sister in law Cami took a picture of the one that she made!

1. We cut a piece of wood about 24" long and then used the router to make the edges purdy.
2. Then, we spray painted the wood. For my mother in laws, I modge podged some patterned scrapbook paper on to hers so it was fancy.
3. We used the Silhouette to cut out the vinyl. The font is called Teeny Boppin NF.
4. We got the little circles from our local craft store. I think they are 1 3/4" size. Garrett drilled holes (1/16" drill bit) in the top and bottom of each circle. Those dang things break easy though so be careful! Also I would drill the holes before you paint them because they break so much!

*I now buy my circles online and they don't break because they are thicker.  I get the 2" size which is 1/4" thick

1. He also drilled some holes in the plaque to hang the circles from. Then we got the little eye hooks from Home Depot to hang them all together with.
2. Cami color coded the circles by families (There are 9 kids in her family!). Then just write their names on the circles and the # of the day in the month their birthday is on. We hung ours in numerical order.

Christmas Card Ornament

I got this idea from my crafty friend Stacie. I thought it would be cute to make an ornament out of each years Christmas card.

My circles were about 2 1/2 inches big

I made an equilateral triangle that fit inside the circle. The sides of the triangle were about 2 inches long. Then traced the triangle on top and fold on the lines.

Then I glued them together with tacky craft glue (Elmer's glue doesn't work good cuz the pics are so slippery). 4 on top and 4 on bottom then glue the 2 halves together.

Paper heart garland

I got this idea from Pebbles in my Pocket. I used some leftover Amy Butler scrapbook paper and cut out like a million hearts, actually just 180 but it felt like a million. Good thing I didn't have to do all the hard work I used my Silhouette to cut all of them out. The hearts are about 2" big and all you have to do is place 2 hearts together and sew down the middle creating a continuous strand of hearts till you run out. Then you just bend them to create a 3D heart, pretty easy right?!

It ended up being a lot longer than I thought it was gonna be so I did a scallop with it on y mirror and on our kitchen divider wall.

Valentine's Mailboxes

I found these killer cute mailboxes in the dollar/seasonal section at Target for only a $1/each! So of course I decided to buy 8 of them, I'm crazy I know. They have pink, blue, red and white. I cut out our names in vinyl with my Silhouette and used the Rennie Mackintosh font.

I thought that these will be fun to put Valentine's in for one another!
